[Picture: eD (deleted)]
Just came back from work and it was interesting. I had the first review with my associate manager. First, he began the review by explaining to be about being fired and he didn't have to have any reason for it since I'm not something.. not sure.. not in union for sure but don't remember what it was. So I was freaking out why he's telling me all this. And he continued to tell me it was procedure for him to review me every 15 and 30 shifts and how I am doing. Basically he went through this 10 guidelines of my work and every one of them I was doing a good job! Praise God!

It was so relieving to hear from being fired to doing a great job. He told me I was one of top stock guy and how much he appreciated my work. He even left message to the store manager how I am doing. He even suggested if I want to join HBC. >.< It was very encouraging to hear from him. And I just bring all the glory to God. I know He gave me the strength to do the work and I am just grateful for that. So much grace from God! Halleluyah!

Wanted to share that with you all. I receive so much grace from God.
God is good all the time!

I came to my tears as I watched the nativity trailer. Who can ever imagine the Anointed One born in a manger, become nothing so we can become something? Who are we to receive so much grace and mercy? It is the Father's love. What is my respond to this? I hope to reflect on the birth of Christ this year more meaningful than ever. May Christ be lifted high this Christmas season!
Nativity is the general time and place of a person's birth and early years.

The term has evolved a strong association, at least in Western civilization through the influences of Christianity, to the nativity of Jesus of Nazareth, which Christians refer to simply as The Nativity.

Indescribable by Chris Tomlin

From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom
Want to start off how our God is amazing. All glory to Him.  A few things to say...
  1. Johnson received Christ (Nov. 20th, 2006) as his Saviour and Lord, also as a 'Master' of his life as he told me. He is in my bible study and been having a lot of spiritual conversation. That morning, I shared the booklet and pray the prayer at night with the help of Paulman. It's just amazing how God placed everything around him to realize the truth. And I'm so privileged to be a small part of this act of God.
  2. Constantly, the message regarding consecration comes to me and believe God is working in me to place everything before God. "What Would Jesus Do?"
  3. Can't survive Vancouver winter without coffee it seems. haha~~
  4. Always tight on my finance but God shows so much grace to me. He is my provider. So why do you constantly worry eD?
  5. Need to study hard and it seems I might attend another year or so since I'm planning to take only 1 course next semester. Without student loan, it's hard to pay the tuition fee. T.T
  6. Can't wait for Winter Conference!!! yeah!!
  7. Go Manchester Utd!! Can't believe they lost to Celtic. Nakamura is such a good kicker! Starting to like him. Like Gerrard's long kick. Must decide on favourite player. I like striker. ^^

I love my bible study (the one I lead), not because I'm a goond lead-er, but the topics we learn and the three guys I have (Johnson, Matthew & Nathan). We learned about spending time with God and that we should give our best and holiest time to spend time with Him.

Sometimes, in Christian walk, spending time with God becomes an activity, or a thing that I HAVE to do because I want to be mature Christian. But I know I have to watch myself and not become hypocrite or be legalistic about it. If I concentration on the relationship, it becomes so enjoyable and be free of anything. It is this intimacy that God desires and also I desire and need of Him. I need Him to be my daily portion and bread. I have to eat the living bread. Only by grace that I can confidently come before Him. How exciting is that?!

I was very encouraged to see Johnson joining today's bible study even though he had an exam right after. I mean, give me a break!!! That's awesome! I really respect and honour his dedication. It seems like our bible study guys are the best and I am so proud of each one of them. I am so blessed by them and hope that I am too for them. Hopefully~~

I joined Korean Campus for Christ meeting today after my bible study, and I really enjoyed it. It seems like only Korean people have this "blessing" song. If you even wonder what this "blessing" song is, come to KC4C meeting. (I'm trying to join the meeting whenever I'm free) And not only that, I was challenged by seeing a video of one of street evangelist in Korea who was like over 80 years old and shared the message with bare feet because he promised not to wear shoes before unification of both Korea (North & South). Not only that he has a heart of Jesus full of compassion and sold everything he had to help out the homeless and poor.

I have seen this video but it always helps me to reflect on myself and need to have a character of Jesus Christ. I really need to change. So much!

Today was such interesting and encouraging day and give all glory to God the Father. Let's pray for the lost~~~

p.s I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT WINTER CONFERENCE. LET'S GO!!! (Today, I miss Alison. It's so hard to find somebody who understands you. And I know you do understand my mind!)

(Just for fun after washing my hair.)
I've been reading Galatians remembering our bible study during Calgary Project this verses challenged me:
20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" Galatians 2:20-21

I remember that from Rod Alm's talk, that the first priority in life is to surrender my life to Christ becoming a servant. And I know I do not want to be lukewarm in my walk with God but truly devoted to His calling. What I want to do I do no do. I struggle with sin constantly and see myself not completely devoted.

Even during my C4C bible study, today's topic was consecration in our learning of discipleship. Commitment that I made to Christ is an important one and do not want to take lightly but I do. It is not my will that should be done but God's will. It's about Christ not me. I'm no longer here or in me but only Christ. Only by Spirit that I can live that life, not by my effort. I have to fix my eyes to Jesus and follow Him. He desires obedience and that I give up everything to follow Him.

I have to abide in his love. I must. I want to. Pray so that I give up everything, I mean everything to become true disciple of Christ.

Also, as I was sharing with Jordan, talking to a guy name Scott, was an interesting conversation. He seemed philosophy major and talked a lot of stuff that I will never get but he was open and seems like He is searching Him. Even though I didn't talk much, and asked God why I was there and the response I got was that I should pray for him. He already knows some Christianity, he is a thinker. Whenever I'm sharing, I sense the heart of father. I pray that God be merciful to him.

In conclusion, I want to renew my heart and have a heart of Father. I should do this daily!!!

P.S Do leave a comment so I know who visited and I want to check your blog/site too!!! I don't know everybody's.. especially RMP people!

I want to be in Love...
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:28-39
Had a hard time finishing up assignment today. Just so frustrated. There are so many other stuff that I want to learn but who gets the chance to do all. But everytime I prepare my bible study, it really helps me to focus and challenges me to know more. God is gracious to me of how things work out even though I do not deserve it.

I do miss project people and just pray that they are doing well in things they do. I bet I'll see some of them near in the future and see them really in the future as well. Just encouraging to see Shelly going into staff. ("they are not people, they are staff!" by eD). I'm sure she'll do an awesome job. I mean she's passionate and willing to die for the gospel and hope to see her soon. I remember going sharing during RMP (Rocky Mountain Project) and the questions she brings up were so interesting and at the same time have passion to finish the race well. I do miss you Shelly if you get the chance to read this.

In our SFU C4C, we have so many beautiful girls (I mean not as girl but as sister in Christ) that I know well enough to list them here. Jillian, Jill, Amanda, Mindy, Jacky, Caryn to name a few. They are fun to work with and its great to getting to know them as well. Especially, Amanda and Mindy are a nice combo to hang out. I mean Amanda, seriously, she's hilarious. We are better friend than during RMP for sure. She loves to bugs me and vice versa. She's just awesome to be friend with and Mindy side along is oh man, its awesome. They are so cute too!!! And Jillian must find a hansome Korean/Canadian Citizenship guy. ^^ All these girls are younger than me and tons of guys too but they are so mature in their spiritual walk that I don't feel that I'm that old in anyway. Just with Dawei!!!! hahaha!!!

I'm working tomorrow and need to finish up some Ignite (weekly meeting) promotion stuff. Hope that I get to finish things. Pray for me that I'll shine in my work place and school as well. When I get chance, I'll starting bible study with my mom. She's like a baby these days and she was happy I suggested doing bible study. But not very soon though. Also, financially my family is broke as well. Well, God will take care of us. Fun time!!!

 My current desktop wallpaper.

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Timothy 1:15-17)

You might wonder why OSAKAED.blogspot.com. Here's my explanation:
Osaka + eD = OsakaeD
Osaka = My favourite anime character name from Azumanga Daioh (Osaka is actually her nickname in the anime since she came from Osaka, her real name is Ayumu Kasuga)

eD = Eddie, me! ^^

Why is Osaka my favourite anime character? She's funny. Azumanga Daioh is a must see anime. It's so funny. Amazingly, unlike other Japanese anime, this anime is so clean! (if you know something about Japanese anime, you know why I use word 'clean')

Hope that helps. Now you are one step closer to know it all! >.<

(This is where she tells her friends 'scary thing' that happened to her last night.)

My current wallpaper^^

I'm learning so much these days specifically in God's word. I am so drawn into learning the Word especially book of Romans and Hebrews.

As I am leading bible study which so far we talked about
ASSURANCE, CONFESSION, HOLY SPIRIT & SEEKING THE LOST
I am regaining what I know and should have. Even though I lack many things, I'm constantly in learning mode.

I was most enlightened in SEEKING THE LOST having the heart of the Father. I must watch myself not to become like the Pharisees and the teachers of the law. Also, from the book 'The Master Plan of Evangelism' by Rober E. Coleman, I'm learning what discipleship is all about it. Even from the Calgary Project, I was starting to taste the discipleship, and was constantly in question of discipleship, and so glad that I'm learning this. I always thought there was something my previous pastor (David Oh) did for me that helped my growth. And the conclusion can be no other than discipleship.

And there is not a pastor who will do that these days especially in my church. So far from the book, we talked about selection, and association.

These days, I'm struggling myself because of my church. There are few reasons. (Details I'll explain in person if you want to know)
(1) Adult service is church's main concern (or it seems)
(2) Discipleship
(3) Solves solutions by creating another problems
I feel like Martin Luther from the movie Luther where he is struggling from his discovery. Please pray for my church as we seem to have some problems. Also, there's so much legalism I feel in my church and hopefully I better watch myself not to become one or change if I already am. I feel like I'm being arrogant of pointing out these things of my church but I do hope for the best for my church.

But I'm thankful I'm learning so much. Constantly, I'm being challenged of my faith and the knowledge of God and His Son Christ Jesus(John 17:3) and His Word (well, Word = JC according to John 1:1 ^^).

Want to say more but enough for today. I'm constantly in thinking mode. But most of all, know the word, have the heart of the Father, and acting upon it is priority at this second. God loves you!

Romans 7:15-20

15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
I find these verses funny. Not humorous but just how Paul puts it. So simple and correct. Straight-forward. ^^

Doing school and work is hard, for me. But it challenges me to be a stronger person. And as I get closer to graduation (hopefully), just thinks a lot about life. Recently, one of our C4C member passed away and it is so easy to lose life. Just like that.

A future partner, job, homework, money, family, church, C4C, all these things are always in my mind. If I say I don't worry about my life, I would be lying to God. At the same time, when put my trust in God, He gives me a peace of mind and takes away my worries. Life is a journey.

I am grateful that I am weak so that I depend on God. I am starting to dream big and want to do many excitings things in life. I hope my life is not boring but be barbaric in a good way^^

Let us enjoy Life!

Historical Moment you see beside.

DAWEI eating PIZZA!!!

I have never seen him eating this and he had no choice.. hahaha!!!

I'll remember this forever and this was at our second Real Life Kit Phone Party.

It wasn't easy phoning people and perhaps start a spiritual conversation since english is my second language and I'm not a smooth talker as well~

But at the same time, it was challenging and Derek giving me a few pointers helped me a lot. Before phoning each person, I would pray in my heart that God would just use me even though I'm not that great.

I was thankful that people showed up and helped to reach our campus. I think our campus ministry is growing or should I say movement.
And it was surprising to see that our Ignite (weekly meeting) grew so big. I was late of the meeting due to my HW, but there were so many people th
ere. I think Jill is doing a great job organizing the meeting and it is always great to see many christians gather together and cast same vision which is to reach the world!

Lost Memory

I feel like I'm losing my memories these days. Forgets so much things~~
It just scares me if this is serious or something but hopefully not~
Even in studying, I can't memorize as I used to when I was back in BCIT.
I guess my high peak of my brain is over~
Do you also feel like you are losing your memories?

Happy Day!

I used word 'happy' so many times today because I'm happy. ^^

Sleeping over at Dawei's place. Hope to do some studies. T.T

It was great to see my grade 2 students. They are so cute!!!
Hope to help them with their spiritual walk with God and impact their lives.

Today was Thanksgiving Sunday and I am thankful for many things especially due to people who impacted me and discipled me. I am a hard to love since many times I'm jerk, and so glad my pastor discipled me with patience and love. I don't think I can disciple someone like me any sooner but hope to build Christ's character in me so that He will be magnified.

Also, at the end of movie 'Contact,' Jodie Foster after seeing this awestruck universe, she realizes how small and insignificant we are compared to the universe/space. If I'm asked to prove if there is God, I can't give an evidence that other people usually aprove, but when Jodie Foster says something like sharing her own experience with such emotion and passion, that can be my only answer to that question. I have experienced God, or He has drew closer to Him, that I was to know that there is God and that He sent His son for me and us. If I say there is no God, I would be lying since my testimony is true. But let God's testimony be true, if you say God's testimony is not true, you are making God a liar, which cannot be. I don't know why I'm saying this but with my sincere heart, I want to say God loves you. God, who can be only one and true, loves all of us. Hope that would be thankful enough for you. And I'm thankful for the Word. ^^

I don't know exactly what I'm saying but conclusion is that today I'm happy because... well. God bless!
Campus for Christ Mission Statement I made a few weeks ago.
It's on my wall now to help me our purpose. ^^

Today is Full Moon Day.
The Moon looks so bright! never seen this bright moon before.

As I was coming back from work, I thought about years back when I spent so much time with my pastor. Being his right hand man, had so much fun and at the same time learned much as well. I remember the talks we had while he drove me to my house and miss that kinds of memories. A lot of me miss times like that where there was somebody who really discipled me in every aspect of my life.

Also, these two verses comes to my mind which I really need to 'get it'. I can't see my future in anyway, but I put my trust in God that he is and will guide me. I remember one time when EM (English Ministry) pastor was praying for me, he told me to trust God and that He will not show me everything but step by step. I desire to be lowest.

Romans 12

1Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Ignite!

Yesterday, we (me, Jill, & Jacqueline) stayed in SFU till 10:45 PM to finish up Ignite Big~ Poster. I think Jacqueline and myself are a good promotion team and we did awesome job on it.

It's always fun to do things till night where we are all sleepy but we enjoyed so much working together. Through this hard work, I hope that many people will wanna come to ignite and join the awesome time praising God and have fellowship.

As we were trying to finalize it, we wanted to come up with ignite slogan where it just explains it all. Jill came up with "Worship God and Fellowship with Spark" but I came out with "Spark your Life"

I think "Spark your Life" is such a fun slogan!! don't you think?? hahaha!! It might actually attract people. Always wanted to do something weird, and funny. Hopefully next time.. ^^

Jill, and Jacky are a women of faith and as they sacrifice their time of youth for the kingdom of God I pray that God will just continue to bless them in His way~ ^^
So if you are SFU students, please join us at ignite even though I can't make it today because of work. Oh yeah, we are having 'Real Life Kit Phone Party' (free pizza~~ ^^)

As I sung 'All who are thirsty' & 'Draw me Close to You' in my morning praise time with guitar in my hands (oh boy, only God takes pleasures in this), it just encourages me so much that even though I'm weak, he calls and I just keep realizing that I need God. I say "I need you, Lord" in my prayer so many times these days. I really need Him and I hope I get my prayer answered if it's His will for me. Able to trust God and His will is so much fun!! So have fun trusting God. God bless!

It's so interesting how my life is. Taking risk isn't that easy.
As usual, I sense life is hard. That's the slogan for my testimony. Has been always.

Today, I couldn't help with first year chemistry I was tutoring for second time. And I just got frustrated and told her it would be best for me to stop tutoring. It was embarrassing~ Oh man~~ I'm so dumb.. hahaha!!!

It was sucky experience but I thank God that he's teaching me humility. It feels like world has gone against me but God is for me so what should I be afraid of. haha!!

With sucky feeling I have, with help of Bobby Park, good pal, I felt much better talking to him on the phone. Shared more than this sucky experience. (keke.. summit thing. pray for me all if you what i mean ^^ ) Hope things work out for me. oh well~~ hopefully!!!

God is good. All the time!
All the time. God is good!

Summit was the Best!

Had so much fun at the summit with Dawei (aka uncle), David Tsui, and Amanda!!! She's anti-Korean!! ^^

My Support Letter. I pray God will fill my cup with his resources!
------------------------------------------------------------------
March 27, 2006

Dear ( ),

Greetings in Christ Jesus! I hope this letter finds you well. I want to share with you what God has been doing in my life lately. As you may know, I always wanted to know God more deeply and grow spiritually to live a life that is most pleasing to the Lord.

About two years ago, at Simon Fraser University, I became involved with Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC), an interdenominational Christian organization committed to turning lost students into Christ-centered labourers. Through this ministry, God has blessed me in my spiritual growth and taught me how to communicate my faith with others. God has opened my eyes to the desperate need people have to hear the hope we have in Jesus Christ. These things have led me to want to grow and develop more. This summer I have decided to participate in a summer project (May 1 – August 1) with CCC to Calgary.

In Calgary, I will be joined with other from across the country. Our team will be equipped and challenged through faith stretching activities that will help us grow in Christ, develop our leadership & ministry skills, and reach out in evangelism to Calgary’s communities. This opportunity will enable me to share my faith with people who have never heard the Gospel and continue to shape me into an effective godly leader.

In order to make all this possible, I need to develop a strong team of people who will support me through prayer and financial support. I’m trusting that God will raise up people willing to invest in helping to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) & reach lost people. I need to raise $2136 to cover project & travel costs. Would you consider partnering with me by contributing $100, $200, $300 or whatever God lays on your heart to give?

Thank you so much for considering this opportunity. I would be so excited to have you play a part in what God will do in Calgary. I will call you in the next week or so to see how God has led you in this opportunity. You can send your donations in the enclosed a response slip, payable to Campus Crusade for Christ, to my address:

CHEM 432 Presentation slides.. oh man.. had hard time answering questions but thank God!!!

Today Pastor Mike asked me what cc and bcc were for in writing email. i kinda explained what i knew but i was curious what exactly those were meant. here is explanation from wikipedia.com

E-mail
The term Cc has found renewed use with the growth of the
Internet. It's purpose is the similar even though its implementation has changed.
In
e-mail, the abbreviation "Cc" refers to the practice of sending a message as a "carbon copy" or "courtesy copy". That is, the receiver is not expected to reply (although they may, of course). Typically, supervisory personnel are notified with Cc.
Contrary to popular belief, Cc is not meant for sending multiple copies, at least, not particularly. It is a perfectly legitimate practice to populate the To: field with several addresses.
The Cc recipients are revealed to all recipients, and this may not be desirable, depending on the situation. An alternative field, Bcc or
blind carbon copy is available for hidden notification. In common usage, To field recipients are the primary audience of the message, Cc field recipients are others whom the author wishes to publicly inform of the message, and Bcc field recipients are those surreptitiously being informed of the communication.

In the context of e-mail, blind carbon copy, abbreviated BCC, refers to the practice of sending a message to multiple recipients in such a way that what they receive does not contain the complete list of recipients.

There are a number of reasons for using this feature:

  • To send a copy of your correspondence to a third party (for example, a colleague) when you do not want to let the recipient know that you are doing this (or when you do not want the recipient to know the third party's e-mail address).
  • When sending an e-mail to multiple recipients, you can hide their e-mail addresses from each other. This is a sensible anti-spam precaution because it avoids making a long list of e-mail addresses available to all the recipients (which is what happens if you put everyone's address in the To: or CC: fields). For this reason, it often makes sense to use the BCC: field for mailing lists. Some viruses also harvest e-mail addresses from users' cache folder or addressbook, and large CC lists may further the propagation of unwanted viruses, giving another reason to use BCC.

'BCC' is also occasionally used to make certain types of spam e-mail look more convincing—by hiding your e-mail, the spammer hopes to trick you into believing you've accidentally received an e-mail that was not intended for you.

Basically, any recipients can see all e-mail addresses specified in the To: and CC: fields. No recipients can see any e-mail address (other than their own) in the BCC: field. In short, To: field recipients are the audience of the message, where CC: field recipients are others whom the author wishes to publicly inform of the message and BCC: field recipients are those surreptitiously being informed of the communication.
